Improve cash flow with automated billing and fund claiming

With complete integration to your required online claiming interfaces, CareRight will ensure that your immediate cash flow is improved with sooner payment of outstanding amounts.

Generating an invoice and lodging it online from within CareRight is as simple as:

  • Select the type of account which a patient is to be billed against (Private, Pensioner, AMA)
  • Then, the relevant fee chosen by your practice will be assigned according to the entered item number to be billed (Medicare item, service code or product number)
  • Fee amounts can also be varied according to the individual service provider within your practice.
  • Submit the invoice electronically to the relevant online claim service
CareRight then links directly to numerous online claim services including:
      • Medicare Online
      • ECLIPSE
      • DVA
      • ACFI

For those repeatable instances where you have a known set of commonly grouped procedure item codes and other billable items for a particular appointment type, the CareRight Billing Wizard is able to be configured to automatically undertake the above process at the click of a single button.

CareRight also enables improved accuracy and less need to re-visit incorrect claims, with the assurance of immediate acknowledgement that all required information has been received and processed.

Receipting of money received against an open invoice uses the open item method. This allows distribution of received payments against unpaid invoice line items. Statements can be printed at the end of month with user-defined messages to give you optimal debtor control.

What is Eclipse?
ECLIPSE is an acronym for: Electronic Claim Lodgment and Information Processing Service Environment.

Eclipse is an extension to Medicare Australia's online claiming solutions and offers a secure connection between medical practices and Medicare and most health funds.

Incorporates direct communication for providers with Medicare and health funds, all in the one transaction.

Online claiming can be used for both paid and unpaid medical claims, they are lodged directly to Medicare through the Clintel Specialist practice management software.

Why should I use Eclipse?
Using Eclipse speeds up the process for claiming the Medical Gap Scheme payments. The automation of the claims reduces data integrity issues and includes online patient verification of Medicare enrolment and health fund membership. Eclipse improves practice financial management through faster resolution of claims and quicker payment times.

What does Eclipse cover?

  • Online patient verification (OPV) - Checks the validity of patient details with Medicare or a health fund. This can be done in real time and allows for the provision of aliases which cuts down on mismatches.

  • In-patient medical claiming (IMC) - Submit an in-patient medical claim to both Medicare and the health fund with a single click; fewer errors and fast return of incorrect Medicare details; available for all claims made under schemes and agreements, and those not made under a scheme or agreement; improved processing times ”from weeks to days.

  • Online eligibility checking (OEC) - Check the eligibility of a patient for both Medicare and health fund benefits; estimate the out-of-pocket costs for hospital services and any known medical gaps; obtain informed financial consent.

  • ECLIPSE remittance advice (ERA) - Match your ECLIPSE claims to the deposits made into your bank accounts allowing for automated reconciliation.

  • Claim status - Check the status of an in-patient medical claim at any time. You will always have a clear view of where your claim is up to in the process.

  • Online security - Patients and staff can feel confident that all information is transmitted securely using public key infrastructure (PKI) encryption.
